ISBRA hosts an international Congress every two years. Its affiliated societies also hold regular conferences. In the case of the Research Society on Alcoholism (RSA), these are annual events. The European society for Biomedical Research on Alcoholism (ESBRA) holds biennial conferences in the years between ISBRA Congresses.

ONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT 1st annual meeting on “Neuroimaging mechanisms of change in psychotherapy for addictive behaviors” will be held June 19-20, 2015 in conjunction with the Research Society on Alcoholism meeting in San Antonio, Texas.
The meeting, sponsored by NIAAA, will cover mechanisms of behavior change that are “common” across different types of treatment for alcoholism (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness), and mechanisms that are specific to certain types of behavioral interventions from cognitive neuroscience, neuroimaging, and treatment perspectives.
